Start with an ordinary day.
The rooms matter. So does everything around them. Before you make a list of houses, make a list of the things that shape your week: your commute, the people you see, the places you go, and the moments you want more of.
Bring better questions.
At a showing, look beyond finishes. Picture how you would move through the rooms, where you would put your things, and which spaces you would use most. Ask about what you cannot see, and make a note of details to verify with the right professionals.
Give the place a second visit.
A neighborhood is different at different times. Walk the block, try your likely commute, and come back on an ordinary evening. Use those observations to refine your priorities and discuss the tradeoffs with your agent.
